Interior Painting Preparation

  1. Remove small and fragile objects and movable furniture.
  2. Cover and protect all floors and furniture.
  3. Fill cracks and holes in ceiling and walls.
  4. Fill gaps and holes in woodwork.
  5. "Tape and 45" moving cracks and joints.
  6. Scuff sand walls.
  7. Scuff sand trim.
  8. Prime bare and new work.
  9. Seal stains.
 

Exterior Painting Preparation

  1. Inspect for rotten or damaged wood.
  2. Wash to remove all dirt, debris, mildew, algae and other surface contaminants.
  3. Scrape to remove all loose and peeling paint from substrate surfaces.
  4. Sand to level rough areas.
  5. Caulk to seal all gaps and cracks preventing moisture intrusion.
  6. Putty to seal panes to mullions.
  7. Seal bare wood surfaces for proper finish coat adherence.
  8. Prime metal surfaces to inhibit rust for proper finish coat adherence.
